The Haryana government has recently approved two major road infrastructure projects in Gurugram, totalling an investment of nearly โน68.6Cr.
These two projects aim to improve local connectivity by finishing the long-delayed link road between sectors 68 & 69 to improve access to sectors 68, 69, 70, 70A, 75 & 76; and modernizing a significant corridor stretching from IFFCO chowk and Southern Peripheral Road that passes through sectors 27, 28, 29, 43, 44, 52, 52A, 56 & 57 linking residential & commercial areas with SPR.
Apart from the standard vehicle lanes, the developments will feature non-motorized transport facilities such as pedestrian pathways & dedicated cycling tracks.
The primary goal of these upgrades is to mitigate traffic congestion while supporting the rapid urban expansion of the cityโs southern sectors.
GMDA officials expect both construction projects to be completed within 12 months, providing essential drainage & safety improvements for local commuters.
